E-commerce sector has seen a huge boom and several entrepreneurs have managed to make a name for themselves in this buzzing economy. Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Grabstr is India’s first giveaway platform where every week the user gets a chance to win a product/service for absolutely FREE – no strings attached. We distribute free meals, free bears, free fashion merchandise, free electronics, free spa and salon vouchers, even free tickets to entertainment venues. One might find it hard to believe but giving away free stuff is our business model and not just a gimmick to lure customers in.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

We wanted to build something that youngsters our age would like to use. Rather than making a niche enterprise solution, we wanted a product that could connect with the average consumers and something our customers would love to use on a daily basis. Through Grabstr, we have created a system to which users can look forward to winning a new product/service every week and have managed to package it in a user-friendly and engaging format.

What is your life mantra?

Life mantra is “Jab mushkilein samne khadi ho toh sir jhukao aur kaam karo”. How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

We are a small team right now and haven’t faced many of the big startups problems of attrition, but we believe the true allure of a startup is when all employees get a chance to work as entrepreneurs in their own domain. This means providing the maximum flexibility and creating an environment where everyone can put on their thinking caps and maximize creativity thereby benefiting the final product. This is the culture we are endeavoring to set up.
