Sagar Paliwal educated himself by doing B. Eng (Hons) in Mechatronic Engineering from Lancaster University. Later, he went on to pursue Master’s Degree in E- Business and Innovation. After completing his formal education, he joined Pal Overseas as Managing Director.

Realizing the absence of a single platform in India that can help vehicle owners to solve their problems related to automobiles, he conceptualized AutoKartz.com, which provides vehicle repair and maintenance services in 150+ cities through service partners.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

AutoKartz.com caters to all verticals of automotive ownership. We are an e-commerce platform for genuine spare parts and accessories for automobiles. We also provide vehicle repair and maintenance services in 150+ cities through our service partners. We also provide used auto sales and auto insurance services; all on the same platform; www.autokartz.com

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

There is no single platform in India which can help vehicle owners solve their problems, anything from diagnosing the weird noise from the engine to sourcing genuine spares for your ride. We at AutoKartz.com cater to all verticals of automotive ownership and intend to be the only platform you would ever need to solve all your vehicle-related needs.

What is your life mantra?

Work in silence, let your car make the noise !!

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

We are in a highly unorganized sector filled with duplicates. Moreover, most owners lack the correct education to diagnose their car troubles. So sourcing correct products and educating our customers is a big challenge. Plus, in recent years due to overspending by other e-com giants, customer expectations have crossed the ceiling. Trying to meet those demands when you are bootstrapped are very difficult.

How did you overcome those challenges?

By striving hard and proving everyone wrong !

AutoKartz is completely bootstrapped till date. All funds received are from me and my family

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

The person needs to be honest in all his/ her dealings (be it with customers. partners, employees or even self)

The person needs to have undying passion for their venture with a never give up attitude

The person should always be willing to learn and explore new opportunities / experiment.

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

I use a variety of tools, most from google which I believe anyone in case would use. Besides google apps, I do use Quora, Yourstory, Fb and IinkedIn apps a lot

Share any one habit which you think makes you more productive.

I wake up around 5:30 am and keep all lengthy mails / any research work for mornings. I believe that by finishing all difficult tasks first, it helps me plan and execute the remainder of my day better.
