Shubham Goyal holds a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He has worked as a civil engineer for 4 years on projects related with the water distribution network and also, have experience in the waste management sector.
Upon observing the changing industry demands, he shifted to IT sector and became an independent Android developer. He co-founded Fitard by realizing that many people lack motivation to continue with same exercise routines everyday and Fitard helps them by competing with other people and by giving rewards.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
Fitard is a young startup in health & fitness domain motivating users to move towards a more active and healthy lifestyle by engaging them through competition and rewarding them for their fitness, thus providing a social platform for brands to market their product and services through socially positive marketing.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
Lack of motivation to continue fitness routines inspired us into this idea to push people towards a more active lifestyle through competition and rewards.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
The most challenging part of the journey has been to build a strong & lean team which is motivated enough & share the same dream. Understanding the market and user behaviour in our domain is a challenge, we are proud to have mastered.

The startup is bootstrapped till now with plans to raise external funds in near future.

We use Asana to manage and track our work. Google Drive plays a vital role in our day to day work.

What are your plans for next 3 years?
We plan to hit the critical mass through influencers (Dieticians, Nutritionists, Doctors, Fitness Celebs ) and are working to increase the number of channels for users to spend the points(Fitcoins) earned on Fitard. We also intend to enter the Corporate Wellness segment with our easy to use app thus helping the corporates to run successful wellness programs.
