Shagun Chadha is an energetic person with an eye for creativity. With her innate flair for fashion, she has been pivotal in forecasting trends and buying products accordingly. Therefore, when it came to making a career, she opted for launching a startup circling her qualities. Shagun incepted the idea of Eristona as an interactive space where patrons could read about the latest in fashion trends and buy what they like. From its birth as a small concept, she has manoeuvered the company’s growth as a leading web portal selling the most stellar jewellery pieces pan-India.
Currently, she overlooks the day-to-day operations of the company. Her aim is to take the Eristona label into the global market and firmly establish its position as the most sought-after international destination for the statement, imitation and costume jewellery, handmade jewellery pieces.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
We sell a vast variety of high-quality Artificial Jewellery at affordable prices. We are now also ready to launch our line of Men’s accessories.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
We launched Eristona in March of 2014 & at the time there were very few websites/stores that sold a vast variety of Artificial Jewellery at affordable prices! We wanted jewellery to be accessible with ease and also at economical prices, without having to forgo the quality of the product. Seeing this gap in the market drove me to begin this portal!
What is your life mantra?
Personally, my life mantra is to Look ahead rather than to dwell on the past or what could have been. Always focus on what is now & the potential of what it can become.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
It’s always challenging to create awareness! I’m sure I speak on behalf of most startups, that getting your name out there & getting recognition is always the toughest part about running a new company.
How did you overcome those challenges?
When it comes to creating awareness, it is an ongoing task, something that doesn’t end when you reach a certain number of visitors on the website. So for us, yes this challenge may not be as tough as it was perhaps in 2014, but it is an ongoing challenge that will and should be there till the very end. This is a part & parcel of the e-commerce business!
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
We are 100% backed up by the family business & have not yet taken on any external investment. However, we are open to the idea of doing so.

Confidence, Perseverance & Creativity.

Professionally; we use obviously use photoshop to edit our product & model photos & we love Pinterest for inspiration! Personally; I love BlogLovin, it keeps me updated & connected with the blogs & bloggers I love the most!
