An athlete by nature, an IITian by education, and an entrepreneur by profession, Saurabh Aggarwal is the founder of Fitso – a revolutionary initiative that helps people in staying healthy. Fitso is a fitness mobile app that guides people on their exercising needs based on their biometrics and lifestyle. The app also lets users set challenges for themselves, and provides rewards on achieving them.
Launched in June 2015, Fitso already has over 40000 registered users across India. Saurabh, who has worked with Indian ecommerce giant Flipkart as a Business Development Manager has big plans for his app, and want to change millions of lives in India in coming years.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
We are one stop solution for all kind of fitness needs starting from weight loss/gain to running a marathon. We help users improve their health and fitness quotient using online tools and a personal coach training services through a mobile application, Fitso.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
‘Health is wealth’ and most people understand it when they are in later stage of their life. Our idea is to make them conscious in early stage of their life and give them solution which is sustainable and accessible. That way we are motivated to improve quality of life of millions of people.
What is your life mantra?
Stay motivated and keep motivating.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
People management and building a good communication channel in the organisation.
How did you overcome those challenges?
We are trying more frequent standup meets and group discussions to come up with innovative solutions for problems we are trying to solve.
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
We have raised an angel round of Rs 1 Cr in January from a set of angels like Samar Singla, Amber Dubey, Vinay Bansal etc.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
We try to give ownership of the company in the hands of core team members both financially and responsibility wise. As we are a small team it is little easier at this point of time and we have to learn and make a culture which can be sustained in long term.

I will try to find the actual gap in the existing products and will build the solution to bridge that gap.

Treks in Himalayas, Destination races like Ironman or ultra marathons, luxury resorts in Rajasthan.
