Trying to break in an industry with big names can often seem to be a daunting task, but that did not let Sarvesh Chandran from reliving his dream of starting a ride sharing platform. Like many the idea for starting this venture came due to the fragmented state of online booking. Having a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering, Sarvesh has always been driven towards social media and strategic planning. According to him, hard work and perseverance are the keys to the success, which is the same that helped him turn his dream into reality.
Founded by three friends, FillCar is a ride-sharing social network which connects verified car owners and travellers who travel to the same location with empty seats, they help to save money, environment and connect people. Currently, the company is self-funded and have huge plans to take on big names and become one of the largest ride-sharing company in India.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
FillCar is India’s Largest Ridesharing social network car owners with empty seats to travellers looking for a ride to the same location. Over 15k people use FillCar every month creating an entirely new, people powered, transport network. With a dedicated customer service, a state of the art web platform, and a fast-growing community of users, FillCar is making travel social, money-saving, GoGreen and more efficient for millions of members.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
The main philosophy is that we have seen many standing in long queue’s for booking tatkal ticket in the train stations, and many in queue may not get a confirmed ticket, and they may not fulfill their urgency, By not reaching their desired destination on time, so we propose a ride “faster than a Bus, Comfortable than a Train” in all of this we had one dream and that was to change the scenario of Indian traffic.
What is your life mantra?
To develop a money-saving, GoGreen and more efficient Ride Sharing Network.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
Our Competitors are our biggest challenge like:
- BlaBla Car
- Tripda etc.
How did you overcome those challenges?
We have designed the User Interface (UI) to be much better than them.

Right now we are a self funded company, and we are looking forward for investees.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
We are just conscious about that, we just keep our mouth shut.
