The thought of creating VanityCube.in occurred when she herself came across the dearth of door-to-door beauty services. With a friend, she co-founded this platform that happens to be one of the popular names in NCR today. Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
VanityCube delivers on demand professional and affordable beauty services at your doorstep as early as in 90 minutes. We provide Facial, Manicure, Pedicure, Waxing at your location. We carry all equipment, products, towels, disposables at customer location. We only require water from you and a place to provide service. Our therapists are extremely professional, hygienic.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
We have many sites which give information about doorstep salon and stylists, but you are not really sure about the quality of services and how much to pay them.We think beauty is more personal hence standardization of quality and service delivery on time are our focus areas.
What is your life mantra?
It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
Bringing our first employee on board and convincing her to our business model was the toughest task for us. We also struggled initially while convincing salon professionals to take-up freelance assignments.
How did you overcome those challenges?
We met lot of beauticians and make up artists to make them understand the opportunity in beauty at home segment. Also provided them the clear benefits for them and how they can grow along with the Company in long term. The example of Ola and Uber in taxi segment helped us a lot
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
We started with investment from our savings and recently closed first round of angel funding from friends and HNIs
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
We need to invest a lot in training as currently the staff is not well trained and has a tendency to switch jobs very frequently. As we progress ahead we will be adding benefits along with the salary component so that they feel taken care of with the company. Also continuous supply of trained staff requires lot of investment in training.

What are your plans for next 3 years?
VanityCube primarily focuses on expanding its footprint in the entire Delhi (NCR) region, including two more metros (Mumbai and Bangalore) by end of this year. By year three we would like to expand to 20 cities across India.
