Rachna is a Venture Capitalist with a B. Tech from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. At the peak of her career, as a wife and a mother with 9-9 working schedule, she realized the necessity of being her own boss and devoting same quality as well as quantity time to build her own chain of startups. This is when she started an Institute for CPA (Chartered Accountancy from the USA) training in Delhi. After that, she moved on to opening a call center of Doctor Tele & online consultation.
However, she came to the limelight after co-founding “WorldofLending”, a Peer-to-Peer platform for Personal, SME and Corp loans along with financial advisory. Her work involves thinking innovative schemes and ideas to implement in software, planning and implementing operational strategies, unique ideas to bring lenders and borrowers in site and gardening her in-house operation team. She draws strategies, run PR campaigns to bring clients in their network.

Banking/ financial institutions are the past. Come; join us in worldoflending.com, an innovative P2P lending e-platform enabling user to get easy loans and lender to get a high rate of interest. Why lazying your money, come invest inP2P as a lender to individual borrowers and see your money grow. We also believe in risk diversification.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
Innovations come with need and changing times. I experienced a gap between personal loan needs of individuals and banking solutions. To fill the gap, I studied global scenario and introduced P2P Lending platform in India.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
Changing the mindset of individuals to lend money on p2p platform.
How did you overcome those challenges?
I did a detailed study on Indian economy and identified right client sector to achieve a breakthrough.
The key to overcoming challenges is to identify the need, type of customers who currently approach you and type of customers you want to reach.
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
Even before launching the product, we as a team, as leaders were able to get seed funding by friends and family on the basis of growing gap and requirement in India’s financial sector. The company though launched in Nov’15, is able to gather funds of approx. 10 lacs and revenue of 60k in 1 month’s time.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
The first most important factor is the “Culture” developed in the company. Along with culture, people should be imbibed with the feeling of ownership. This will ensure people will work towards a same goal and smarter ways rather than doing a 9-6 job. We have also maintained flexible timings and leaves allowing people to attend their personal needs. To counteract the loss, compensation timing and workdays are incorporated in the schedule.
