Pradyumna Challa did Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from Nagarjuna University. Later, he went to pursue Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science from Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering. Pradyumna started his career by working as Technical Intern for Honeywell Aerospace, where he developed apps for google glass and also worked with gesture and eye tracking devices. Soon, he left his job to follow his entrepreneurial dream and co-founded Carista, which provides mobile car garage services directly at customer's driveway.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
Every second car owner, has a bad experience with his dealership car garage. Be it the up-selling or the long service time or the average quality of the service. Servicing the car from a local workshop or a mechanic is not an option either, threat of fake spare parts, and parts harvesting are very real. Getting a trustworthy service garage is quite a task, these days.
At Carista, we are bringing amazing customer experience in car services, by being the service providers ourselves. Our mobile car garage delivers car services directly in customer’s driveway completing the service in under 90 minutes. The repairs are carried out right in front of the customer, at his home or office without having to wait at a garage to get the repairs done. With the promise of genuine spare parts and trained pit-crew to service, customers don’t have to wait in a garage to get their cars serviced.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
Before carista, we were a car service aggregator carfields. After a year into building the product ,we understood that we are not creating any value to customers rather we are being counterproductive and are adding one more layer of inefficiency into the system. We stopped and took a step back to really understand car owners problems. Talked to every car owner we could find , based on their input we started building carista from scratch . Carista is a time-saving, efficient and transparent solution for car owners.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
The car is one of the most valuable possession of any person. Trusting their car with us initially was a challenging task, but once they took a look at our service quality they are our repeat customers now.

What are your plans for next 3 years?
On the business side of things, agenda is to develop carista into a household brand for everything cars, expand into all the tier 1 cities and some tier 2 cities also. Personally, would like to go on a few trips and go trekking.
