Kuntal has a rich legacy of work experience across varied roles in Software development, HR/Recruitment and Operations, both in India and USA. Having graduated from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College in Bombay, her career spans companies like Mobil Coporation, Lockheed Martin, Lavastorm, IBM and Accenture.
Her personal achievements, things that give her great joy and pride, are her two ventures. On her return from the US with two toddlers, she started an activity center for kids of all ages called Creative World, which she ran passionately for five years. Her other creative baby was Soul Chai, a community for women, that met regularly at different places in Bangalore to do varied fun activities(farming, cooking, baking, hiking, bicycling..), over chai.
She is a founder team member of ZenParent, which is one of india’s largest parenting platforms.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
Our platform has content that is useful for parents to make critical decisions for their kids with respect to health and wellness, education and extra curricular activities, safety. And a parent community across India that can guide each other in their parenting journey irrespective of where they are located.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
ZenParent is a portal for parents by parents. We want to help parents of India in their parenting journey – and one is a parent for majority of his / her life. With urbanisation and globalisation, most people due to work, move to different parts of the country, even across the world, and are away from their known surroundings. In those new surroundings, they need to take important decisions for their family, and that could be rather challenging. We want to be new age indian parents companion to help them in all their critical decisions with respect to their family. I am a parent of two teenagers, and have personally moved from Mumbai to number of places in US and then back to Bangalore.
What is your life mantra?
To be able to help younger parents in their parenting journey.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
To build this fabulous team
How did you overcome those challenges?
Needed to take some tough decisions of letting people go on basis of performance, lack of passion and positivity.

ZenParent has received a seed funding of 500K US dollars from Venture factory and is going at raise series A funding in next 3 to 6 months.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
We have a highly engaged team which is very performance driven. All want to see the ZenParent vision come alive.
