We are discussing with multiplex and theaters to facilitate online ticket purchase for the movies from our website. What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
It all started with a passion we had for movies, which soon turned out to be a part and parcel of our daily chores.
What is your life mantra?
I firmly believe that road to success is not easy until and unless you are really passionate about the thing you do. I always like to work on things that make me happy. If you are not passionate about the things, you working on there is no way you can reach the pinnacle.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
The biggest challenge has been to run a show in a City like Nagpur where products like these are yet to be launched. We are working towards our mission to become a one-stop information center for all B-town news.
How did you overcome those challenges?
Running a website with large traffic requires a decent investment in IT infrastructure. With the exponential growth in visitors, it was challenging to improve our IT infrastructure at the same speed due to financial constraints. We took our business proposal to private investors and we have good financial backing. Since our investors are industry veteran they also bring in lots of experience which has helped us a lot.
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
We started from scratch with limited posts a day mostly toying around the images till we finally decided to embark with a content based website unlike the other players in the web world. Initially, we got few hands and minds that volunteered without worrying about their remunerations till we finally got a full-fledged team comprising of SEO, content writers, web designers and developers in the steam. Our core team comprising of people like Devashish, Jeetu, Prajakt and Anurag invested all their savings and belongings to make the site – JB. It’s not just one man who made the contribution but it was my entire core team who left no stone unturned to give nothing but the best to the website for its promotion and stability in terms of traffic and readers. Finally, all the hard work and patience are paying off well as we have a loyal and a massive reader base.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
We are fortunate enough to have a team, which is free from attrition. People who joined us in this journey never left us in the midst and currently we have a team of seven members who work at different levels and aspire to contribute in a longer run. Hence, there is nothing called Brain Drain with us.
