Jugal Anchalia did B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Upon realizing that technology is not being used in healthcare, Jugal conceptualized JustDoc, which enables patients to do online consultations with highly qualified and experienced doctors via its website & app. JustDoc is also being called as “Skype for patients” as well-qualified doctors with years of consultation experience interact with the patient online to diagnose their medical problems.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
JustDoc enables patients to do online consultations with highly qualified and experienced doctors via its website & app. Patients describe their problem in detail and can even attach lab test reports, snapshots of physical symptoms, previous prescription etc. They get connected with experts instantly via video call. Patients can also book for subsequent services like medicine delivery, second opinion, and diagnostics services.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
Technology has changed our lives in so many ways. Healthcare, on the other hand, is still not using technology in so many ways. Some excruciating personal experiences triggered me.
I knew it has to change eventually. We just didn’t know how it would change. Everyone should have an easy access to good care. Hence, we set forth to figure out ‘how’!
What is your life mantra?
Begin with end in mind.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
There are many parts like onboarding the best doctors on our platform (& making them use technology), getting patients to trust a new idea and creating a knowledge base of medical conditions that we can/can’t treat online. This list goes on and on.
How did you overcome those challenges?
Iterating with feedback was the best way to move fast and overcome these problems. In the long run, solving these problems systematically creates a barrier for others.

We have raised an undisclosed amount from Mohandas Pai, Mohit Saxena (Inmobi), Raghunandan G (Taxiforsure), Tracxn Labs and Singapore Angel Network
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
We made sure everyone is aligned with the vision. This helped in working towards a bigger cause. Also, we conduct regular feedback sessions/skip-levels to make sure every concern is identified and resolved.
According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?
Persistence, hardwork & belief

Almost all google products(drives, calendar, analytics etc.) + Github
