As a serial entrepreneur, he has led several startups towards success. His latest venture my passive Income education is the platform to learn how to create passive income streams while you work in your current job/business. You will learn to implement proven online business models using a simple systematic approach based on consumer psychology, behavioral economics and effective online marketing techniques.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Products – Training books, video courses and coaching for specialized education – Project Management and Digital Marketing. Services – Business-objective based Digital Marketing services for small businesses.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

I worked in IT industry for 15 years in various technical and managerial positions, building software products for start-ups. I had a health condition one day, you could say occupational hazard, and was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I had an awakening moment there and decided to quit and start something that was closer to my heart. All I knew was it had to be something that helped people.

In the second half of 2012, I quit and started a blog to share my project management certification exam notes. I knew all the problems that a PMP student typically faced and devised a solution for each on the blog, including free Skype coaching.

Over next 2 years PMExamSmartNotes.com turned into an eco-system for PMP preparation, helping thousands of PMP students around with their PMP prep. All the while I immersed myself in learning everything I could in order to understand how things worked Online. I learned from successful entrepreneurs such as T Harv Eker, Matt Llyod, Gerry Roberts, Alex Mandossian and Alex Jaffreys various aspects of online business – from copywriting, to lead generation, traffic generation, affiliate marketing, brand building, authority marketing – and implemented each of them primarily in PMP blog. Soon, the income from the blog replaced my corporate salary. I authored 19 books (sold on the blog), and incorporated various monetization strategies into the blog. My first Kindle book went on to become #1 Best Seller in all the 3 categories that it was listed in within 10 days of the launch. Along the way, word of mouth publicity followed and many businesses approached me for digital marketing help. Thus, TheSmartOnlineBusiness.com took birth in 2014. I started working with movie producers, startup entrepreneurs, and offline businesses to help them solve business problems using digital marketing strategies. With the same route, word of mouth, few people started approaching me for teaching them how to earn passive income. I found that individual coaching was not scalable so earlier this year I started MyPassiveIncomeEducation.com. Currently, I am creating training products and books to teach people how to massively generate passive income by spending as little as 90 minutes a day.

Self-discipline is pretty challenging when you are working as an entrepreneur. There is no one to tell you what to do and what not to. It is a huge relief as well as responsibility.

Procrastination is something I’ll want to get rid of. Because I believe that at the end of the day one is pained by things that were note attempted than the ones done. May be I’ll deal with it from tomorrow. :)

Answer in less than 50 words

  • One tip to success:

Believe in yourself. For me self-belief is crucial for success. Every journey has ups and downs – staying unaffected by them and marching ahead takes self-belief. When you believe in your purpose in life and the goals you have set for yourself to work towards the purpose, things will fall into place. Work diligently towards your goal and the Universe will conspire to get you there.

  • One mistake you believe every individual must avoid:

Getting complacent. I believe that setting up a large purpose in life helps one not get complacent.

  • One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

Seek help. There is nothing wrong in it, in fact that’s exactly how people attain success.

What are your plans for next 3 years?

In next 3 years, I am looking to help at least 10,000 people become financially sound and secure by leveraging the power of the Internet to set up their own online businesses.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?

Seek out the leaders in the industry and get coached by them right from the beginning. And spend on marketing even before my product is completed.

What are your top three getaway destinations?

Andamans and Goa.

Share a quote that inspires you the most.

Two, actually –

“Business is not about you, it’s about solving people’s problems.”

“The size of your problems is nothing compared to your ability to solve them. Don’t overestimate your problems, and underestimate yourself.”
