Satyam got his Engineering degree from Jaipur National university and went to work with an International Consulting firm. He understood that getting the laundry done requires effort and working people don’t have time for it. Seizing this opportunity, Satyam launched UrbanDhobi.
Urban dhobi is a pick & drop laundry service started to cater the need of having clean clothes without spending too much time or effort. People can place order through our app or website and UrbanDhobi will provide free pickup & drop facility. With an aim to grow, UrbanDhobi will soon expand to three more cities.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
UrbanDhobi is an online laundry platform , we work as aggregator for laundromats . We collect clothes on the preferred time slot of a customers and deliver it back in just 24 hours. We do exclusive washing of clothes for a particular user thus we maintain hygiene. We have raised Angel round funding and we are soon expanding services to 3 more cities .
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
Laundry has always been a pain point for bachelors, working people and students, same was the case with us, in order to organize the unorganized laundry market we started UrbanDhobi.
What is your life mantra?
I create my future by envisioning it.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
We are trying to disrupt the laundry market. It takes time for people to understand our concept and the first challenge is to beak the habit of getting laundry on own or through a local dhobi.
How did you overcome those challenges?
We try to convince people through various mediums to use our services and once they use our services, they become our customer for a long time.

We are looking forward to raise Series A in next 45 days.

We allow all our team mates to execute their idea. We work with people whose vision meets with our vision.
