What do you do, if you face a daunting challenge in front of you and are unable to deal with the situation? While most of you would keep on looking for a solution, if you are someone like Rohan, then you would end up building a platform, where others do not have to face a similar issue. Rohan is a marketing specialist with 15 years of cross-functional experience in IT Products Marketing, Retail, Direct Marketing, Customer Acquisition and Online Marketing for BTL set up, Outsourcing and Telecom companies. He has extensively traveled across countries, managing and leading integrated marketing programs at regional level (Asia Pacific).

He surely has undergone a stellar growth throughout his career. From supervisor at a telecom company to Associate vice president of a big entertainment company and now founding his own company. Rohan has surely been accustomed to every nook and corner of the corporate world. Currently he is focusing on expanding the operation of LawRato.com to make it one of the top rated lawyer networks.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

The biggest challenge in getting justice is finding the right legal counsel for your issue. LawRato.com is solving this issue by enabling credible and reliable legal advice and representation through rated and reviewed lawyers across 100+ cities in India on its platform.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

A few years back , when I was working in Indonesia, I had a small legal issue, I realized there was no online way to consult an Indian Lawyer. That incident help me make up my mind, to put my knowledge of marketing, and my law degree to good use.

What is your life mantra?

Change is the only constant.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Understanding the online customer. India is leapfrogging into the digital age. But we are learning together with the customer, and refining our product as we go along. There are no precedents to learn from, and global markets are very different.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Feedback. Feedback. Feedback. I personally to happy customers, and specially with the not-so-happy ones. Market research and customer feedback will continue to be the cornerstone of our product development.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

We have raised 100K USD from 3 angel investors. The good part is it’s “smart money” – in addition to funds, they bring digital, marketing & mentorship to our. Business

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

I got lucky. My ex-colleague and now co-founder , Nikhil Sarup joined me in the business. Nikhil is a digital veteran, and decided to quit the 9-to-5 before it killed him. I caught up with him at the right moment.

He leads the tech and marketing for LawRato, and I couldn’t think on anyone better. He ensures the right tech is part of our team, and I ensure the right ops people love working with us.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

We are in LawRato for the long haul. I want to make it THE go-to destination for legal advice seekers. There are many things in the pipeline, and you will see them come to life as we progress.

I’d start following my passions a little earlier in my career.
