For a programmer, the most essential grader is the number of projects they have worked on. Their ingenuity and vitality come to the forefront adding honors to their name. The same is the case with Rishikesh Kumar, who has received numerous awards throughout his career. After completing his graduation in Computer sciences, he embarked on the path of his career as a software developer. He worked on several projects, which helped him gained much-needed credence.

After gaining ample expertise, he came across an idea of an application and thought of launching a startup. This brought Opershutter to the forefront as a new initiative to share best photos by best photographers among users. Within a short span of time, the platform has gained upwards to 32000 users.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Openshutter.co.in is not only a marketplace for images and photographers, but it also provides a platform to show your talent. We exhibit the photos of aspiring and talented photographers all together so that they could learn from each others. We have started selling these copyrighted photos with almost free of cost. We provide a platform to connect the best photographers (Connect & Hire) to the people who needs it for the occasions like a pre -wedding photo shoot, birthday celebration, etc.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

Once, I was searching for some photographers to get information about few photos with my colleague Poonam. Finally all try went in vain. Later after an extensive search, i could not find a common place where we could get a reliable price range, portfolios, and details about the photographer’s. At that moment, a persistent knocking problem of finding photographers inspired me to take this initiative. That day was turning point and with the help of some best photographers started this venture.

What is your life mantra?

Never fallback

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Considering a diverse range of choice and genre of the photography, building a common platform to integrate the customers and photographers was one of the most challenging problems of our product.

Initially when the idea clicked to me, it was a tough job to convince others about the idea. At the first, I developed a prototype of our platform and got best minds, which helped a lot to improve it and made this journey easy.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We convinced the photographer and made them believe the power of our platform and how it could benefit them for their career. Keeping the best photographers under one roof was one of the biggest challenges and we succeeded in that. The backbone of the Openshutter is a pool of talented photographers we have and a strong development team which is spearheading our venture. The second part is operational part on which we are still working and overcome this issue as previous. I can say only one thing my team can do anything possible.
