Often it has been found that most of the entrepreneurs leverage the experience gained in a sector to float their own company. The same is the case with Ravi Raizada, who has served in leading industries including Reliance Retail, Vodafone, Aircel in the domain of Retail and customer services. All through his career, he has gained ample credence, which led to his latest venture SEVA CSPL. He stepped into the business with a vision and mission of building a national company in the service sector. SEVA CSPL is a company incorporated to pursue the concept of organizing the vast, unorganized and scattered industry of repair and maintenance services of Home appliances.
The experience of this startup is till date exceptional and incredible. Within a span of few years, it has more than 14000 clients to its list. According to him, the consumer service sector needs a big overhaul and his company is one track to provide one of the most user oriented services across India.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
Seva offer solutions for the Maintenance services of Home Appliances (AC, Fridge, W/M, Microwave, RO, Chimney, Led & other),Offering :
1. Need based Repair & Maintenance services.
2. Offer Extended Warranties for out of warranty products.
We are domain experts working specifically in the Home Appliances technical solutions. We also train and provide technical support to the technicians.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
The growing usage pattern of the appliances and the unmatched demand and supply of the services along with Quality and Reliability issue made us to enter in the space to organize it. The other front was the limited exposure of the technicians and lack of practical training gave us the opportunity.
What is your life mantra?

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
Developing a sustainable model and methodology for repair service delivery went the most challenging ; we do not work on a marketplace model and our focus remains on machine and End user experience.
Thus ensuring a prompt service, managing & optimizing resources ; ensuring technical solutions for updated technology, Parts procurement & maintaining the service SLA’s together turn out to be a great challenge.
How did you overcome those challenges?

We experimented with different models and today have developed a sustainable and viable business!
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
The business is completely Bootstrapped till date ; And that is the most motivating factor ! We have expanded our services in multiple cities being bootstrapped. Now to expand further we are in talks with a few Angels and VC’s.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
Attrition was never been a issue for us ! As we remain rooted with the basics of Employment ; Timely appraisals ; timely warnings ; Quarterly Performance tracking is our routine practices !
Apart from this ; we do a cross functional responsibilities program that allow our team to experience multi functional roles and that i feel create a little difference.
According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?
1. Persistence – One must be able to go through all the seasons of business, and must keep on …
2. Adaptability to change – for change is constant & change is good.
3. Madness – Passion let u start but u may lose it somewhere in between ; madness let you go through you your hardest time..

Reading – Reading keeps u updated & aware and relaxed; and that is few most important thing for an entrepreneur!
Digital times have changed the scope and reach and u can read anything and anywhere. I read everything i can !! While i still enjoy reading fiction novels.

Tough to describe ; but i want to change my habit of giving undue chances/Time to people hoping that they will turn up as desired. and keep things (anything &everything) hooked around thinking may prove useful something,

At every step u take – U succeed ! Success is a pool of such steps being taken ! Keep going and keep succeeding !! Work not only for money but to create something that remains when we don’t !!!!

• One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:
Learning though is a continuous process ; yet one great learning i had is the power of persistence ; there were time when the business went on the verge to collapse ; continuing in those hard time opens the doors to much better world !
What are your plans for next 3 years?
The next phase includes :
1. Expansion in 6 more cities
2. Designing and implementing a few NEW Service Based products
3. Getting Funded
