Rahul Garg is the name synonym with of innovation and 16 US patents against his name justifies the claim. He looks at everything from a new perspective and gives a great picture of the hidden aspects, which generally most people miss. He completely understands his domain and takes thorough ownership of whatever he strives into. His ability to manage overly aggressive, unreasonable customers and articulate product development schedule including product deliverables won the customers admiration.

He started his career as a summer intern ATRI, Japan and worked in several multinational companies across the globe. He has an MBA in marketing from ISB and expertise in product management. He himself has invested in several early stage startups, which show his success. His latest venture Moglix is a revolutionizing the e-commerce sphere across Asia with its superior online technology for the B2B sector.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Moglix is building India’s largest b2b commerce technology for India. We work with manufacturing industry towards bringing their entire purchase on Moglix.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

Inspiration comes from the use of technology to make a major impact on the country. Moglix is at the confluence of ‘Make in India” and “Digital India” and we believe technology can be a strong factor in propelling the efficiency and scale for both procurement and sales of the organizations.

What is your life mantra?

Create awesome technology and use it to change India/ world for the better.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Manufacturing industry has been untouched by technology over the last 3-4 decades. We are continuously educating the manufacturers on how technology in a matter of short period can change the ‘traditional – offline’ ways of doing things.

How did you overcome those challenges?

With strong technology, hard work and persistence.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

We are a strong reverse brain-drain company. I moved to India from Singapore, another leadership person moved to India from Africa. We are a company with a mission. We so far had extremely low attrition as we bring in the ‘mogli’s’ after a rigorous screening over alignment of the company vision.
