Priyanka Bardhan has vast experience in the field of human resource, which she accumulated by working for companies like Klaus IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, GNG Consultant, Hindalco Industries Ltd, and more.Being an entrepreneur at heart, she founded MyWebERA, and Silvertoss Multimedia Pvt Ltd with most recent being GharKaAahar, which is a technology driven home food ordering platform that plans to turn every household into a food startup and every homemaker into an entrepreneur.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

GharKaAahar is a technology platform built around food – which provides homemade food at customer’s door step from neighborhood home kitchens. We deliver regular meals (lunch and Dinner) and also Chef’s signature dishes.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

I am a foodie, love to eat out and try different foods,but eventually realized that eating out always is not healthy. Coincidentally, I came across some home-makers, who are good chefs and love cooking at home, but somehow they were just restricted to cook at home for their family only. The concept of GharKaAahar came from – why not empower these home-makers, so that they can showcase their creativity around cooking and make some additional income.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Reaching out to customers on time with the delivery even if it rains or any unexpected incidents happen.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We started using 3rd party hyperlocal delivery services and eventually realized that’s not the best way to reach out to customers. We ended up setting our own small delivery team.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

GharKaAahar is bootstrapped till now, we are looking for investments now

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

Not yet faced that challenge, as we are a small team now. However, we face this challenge with our delivery team. We try to give incentives and distribute their work in a better way.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

Honesty, Committed to what has been promised to customers, open to change and challenges

 Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

We use hyperlocal service providers like UrbanClap a lot. Also, we use hyperlocal delivery service apps like Roadrunnr etc

I am always online and active – responding to customer queries myself immediately

Sometimes we over commit to customers, mainly with accommodating some specific demands from customers – be it customization of food or tough delivery time
