"Stick to your goals, keep learning & always try harder than you did yesterday."

The trio Moksha, Pranay, and Mritunjay, came together when they felt the need to address a single problem related to bike rental market. Being passionate bikers themself, the trio co-founded Wheelstreet.in, which is an online platform for bike rentals.

The Bangalore based startup, Wheelstreet, brings together vendors with customers by providing a secure platform with strict policies to provide a good experience to the user. The trio faced many challenges in their journey such as winning the trust of people by providing quality service. Being an innovation driven company, Wheelstreet has successfully managed to automate the entire business process and now requires minimal intervention for manual work.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Wheelstreet is an online bike rentals aggregator platform. It does not own any of its bikes, but provides vendors a secure online platform to list their two-wheelers. It plans to organize this market and give a secure platform for both the vendors and customers. Wheelstreet has standardized pricing and deposit amounts across all vendors, to give them a hassle free experience. It has also created a three step security check for customers in order to give vendors enough security.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

I was a regular customer to the bike rental market. I was not satisfied with the experience. Three years went by and the only change I saw was in the price. Overcharging, a total lack of quality control, unethical deductions and unavailability of the bike that I desired were considered normal. A meeting with two of my best friends and the usual ranting about life soon had us brainstorming about this gap we wanted to fill in the market. Soon we had a sense of direction, we knew we were out to organize this sector and focus on providing customers with an experience that was not just hassle free, but managed to delight people.

What is your life mantra?

I personally believe in working hard and travelling.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Demand and people’s faith in an online platform to a large degree reduced the hurdles we faced, but organizing a market so huge with so many players was tough. Standardizing clauses, payments and pricing was also one among the biggest challenge, but the biggest was making sure the vendors understand we are not a threat to their bread and butter.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Technology is changing the way we live, what better time to embrace tech if not now? We have given everything we had to developing the best technology to face all those day to day problems you are bound to face in a platform like this one. We have successfully managed to have enough automation for the business to now function with absolutely no manual intervention.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

Networking with people, exchanging knowledge and staying updated with the current trends have kept us from ever reaching a point of brain drain.
