Parichay is a B.Tech graduate in Electrical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology with a strong analytical and multi-objective approach. He has hands-on-experience in Education, Retail, Healthcare, Banking, Technology and IOT & Robotics domain for last 5 years. Before founding Rootalpha he worked in Cognizant Technology Solutions, a fortune 500 Technology Company, and worked for the following clients: Fleetcor, JPMorgan Chase, ACI Worldwide, Levi Strauss & Co., Jumbo Electronics and Burger King.
Being an entrepreneur at heart, Parichay Das has founded Rootalpha with its flagship education brand MyCampusing, which help connect employers with the best college talents and make college recruitment fast, easy, efficient. Parichay also published more than 30+ research papers, 3 books and 2 patents. He is also actively involved in creating startup ecosystem.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
Rootalpha (www.rootalpha.com) launched a campus Job Hiring solution, MyCampusing helps employers connect with the best college talent and makes college recruiting fast, easy, efficient. It is also a social career networking for college students & recent graduates and career accelerator for college students. It is a recruiting platform dedicated to launching the career for every student. Employers use our enterprise products to show employment brand and streamline for the recruiting process from start to finish. No longer confined by the costs of recruiting on campus, employer’s source from a vast network of talent—no travel fare required. Employers also use MyCampusing to manage their college recruiting workflow. They are combining digital and campus recruiting, eliminating paper resumes with MyCampusing Recruiter, our companion mobile app for campus events.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
The ones on the top, the class in the middle and the mass down the line, we all make it to your graduations with a hope, life will start now. The initial days of college are more like a cage free bird, away from school level decorum, a new process of learning and new way of living. Semesters happen we grow together and then comes the time when responsibilities become our part, a good placement, a handful of wonderful friends and happy life. We are here with our product Mycampusing to act as a bridge between you and your potential employer. In addition, for the employers we are dedicated to give you new comers who make you grow.
The last few semesters end tensions, placements hustle bustle we are here to handle it all, your guide to show you the doors which will be opened for you. Relax and trust us, you and your friends along will be placed if you all have that in you. I Parichay Das have been the one experiencing the troublesome days of pre placements and I decided we need to change the way.
What is your life mantra?
My life mantra is – “Being an entrepreneur, I feel like a PhD Scholar who takes birth and dies on the same day with his/her creation. So, keep innovating and have belief in yourself”.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
Every business comes with challenges in form resources, people and timely execution.
How did you overcome those challenges?
Invested time in judging people mind set and improving the interview process.

What are your plans for next 3 years?
Introduce new exciting products and services in the EduTech market to simplify the existing process.
If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?
If I would get a chance to start my career again, I would have focused more on practical aspects of studies rather than theoretical aspects and implementation. In college days, I could have invested more time thinking on improvement of social problems and less on securing a corporate job.

Meghalaya, India; Queenstown, New Zealand and Cusco, Peru

You cannot connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. Therefore, you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
