SponsifyMe is an online platform that connects brands with events. Event organizers face difficulties reaching out to sponsors/partners because of time constraints/geographical constraints or not able to reach the right marketing person in organization. Brands or startups who are willing to sponsor or barter (vouchers/coupons) with any event (college fest/exhibition/fashion show etc) find difficult to check events along with their demographic information such as age group, gender, number of attendees, target group of attendees etc and do efficient marketing through events.

In our portal brands list their target event preferences and their target group of customers and we match this with the events listed on our portal. Any event that matches with the brand we send this event information (automated) to the respective brands. This way events get connected with right sponsors at shortest possible time and get sponsorship for their events with ease and convenience.

My first startup GetMyLooks.com where we wanted to find events targeting female audience. No such platform was existing that will give us freedom to choose events as per our needs, so we built one.

To do things that have never been done before and to believe in my inner voice that tells me to go ahead and do things.

The most challenging part was to build the portal itself, being a mechanical engineer it was difficult to do coding and built a complete website with the features that was needed for this business.

I overcame these challenges by learning the basics of coding and then developed a MVP of the business model and validated it. Later one of my engineering college friend joined me as cofounder and took over product development since he has experience in it.

We have not raised any investments so far, we are in bootstrapping mode till now and we will look for investments after few months.

I think by setting up right culture an empowering people to do things that they like the problem of brain drain can be solved.

It is very important to understand the user behavior specially if you are in online business.

I plan my things by setting short term goals with a long term vision.

I am very impatient sometimes I would like to change this habit.

Not believing in yourself.

One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

Persistence is the key to success.

We are focusing on organizing the whole below the line advertising industry through disruptive innovation and some cool products that we are working upon that will add immense value to the way marketers explore the advertising space.

I am happy that i started my career the way I am doing right now. Though i would like to explore a bit about software development as it add immense value in an online business.
