Some of the qualities that you strike when you meet a Xaverian B.com graduate are creativity, positivity and ingenuity. Nitesh Dujari is not your regular Chartered Accountant whose life only revolves around numbers. After 6 months of job in a bank, he realised in order to utilise his time to oneself he needed to quit and start something on his own. This is what led to the start of Acredeals.

Working on the startup has given him a great exposure in varied areas and has been an enriching experience for him. Acredeals is an online real estate portal where consumers can find information about real estate agents, developers as well as projects. Within a short span, he has been able to garner more than 50+ premium developers offering 220+ projects and 200+ agents on their website in Kolkata alone.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

We are a Real Estate Portal based out of Kolkata wherein we provide a free listing platform to the Real Estate Agents and Developers. In the Resale segment, we provide free listing to the agents where their contact details are given and the potential customers can directly contact them and do the dealings. In the New Projects segment, the primary sales are taken care by us.We aim to be a social network for the Real Estate Industry.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

I was working in ICICI Bank in Jamshedpur and I had started searching for flats for my use. It was a difficult task to search a good professional real estate agent. This gave an idea to start a real estate portal wherein leads would be generated online which would in turn be serviced by our professionally trained executives. Choosing a good real estate agent is a difficult task and real estate being an un-organized market would be a great problem to solve. Then i thought why not make a real estate portal for lead generation and act as a professional real estate agent rather than a listing based portal.

What is your life mantra?

Just Enjoy and let others Enjoy.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

The most challenging part of the journey was getting Real Estate Agents and Builders on board since there are already big players in the market like 99acres,magicbricks, housing etc. We had to convince them with our strategy and new features which are coming soon and that we had a different model compared to others. We are trying to streamline the process of property buying/leasing so that the clients are able to get through the process swiftly.

How did you overcome those challenges?

The Real Estate market is unorganised and to get the Real Estate Agents and Developers on board to list their properties and projects was a big challenge. But we convinced them as our model was different from the other giants in the market and we gave them a promising idea and upcoming features. As of now we have over 200 agents on board, 220+ New Projects from 50+ Developers in Kolkata.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

We are currently bootstrapped. We are streamlining our product now and targeting to optimize our products rather than scaling up. We are aiming to increase our base in East India before diversifying geographically.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

We have an open culture where everyone from an executive to a departmental head or any intern provide their ideas and inputs. There is a saying that” If you take care of your employees, the employees will take care of your clients.” We try to keep the employees happy as much as possible providing them a flexible job and time commitments as far as the work is being done. We have designated 2 hours every week for an open forum where all plans , reviews, shortcomings , targets and roadblocks are discussed and road maps are chalked out.
