Neeraj has always been a business-oriented person, with expertise in corporate finance, banking, investments and business development. Right from the start, he was focused on achieving his goals. After completing his B.E in mechanical engineering, he went on to pursue his MBA in marketing and finance. He started his career as a senior manager and eventually moved on to become assistant vice president.
After working in the finance industry for many years, and gaining ample expertise, he mulled the idea of launching his own startup. TaxiVaxi was conceptualized looking at the booming in this sector as well as the growth prospect. TaxiVaxi is the first platform for booking Tour Taxis, Self-Drive cars, Radio Taxis and Carpooling on one single application. It aims at providing a hassle-free and smooth booking experience for all your road travels. Neeraj looks after Company Expansion Plans, managing Complete Finance for the company, Strategy for Business Tie-ups, Product Development and Business Development.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
TaxiVaxi offers the user to search for Radio Cabs, long journey cabs, Self-drive cars, self-drive motorcycle and carpooling at one place. The user can compare fares, availability, ratings and book the ride of his choice. This prevents the user from downloading multiple apps or searching on multiple platforms. TaxiVaxi helps the user to save time and save costs.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
There are inefficiencies in the travel space, especially in the road travel. It takes a lot of time to book a car for long distance or taking a motorcycle for few days in mountains. I wanted to solve this problem by introducing a product where a person can find all the road travel solutions at one place and book with ease.
What is your life mantra?
Learn from the mistakes made by others and take the criticism seriously. This will help to improve in life.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
Integrating all the options at one place and making a user-friendly interface.
How did you overcome those challenges?
We spent 3-4 months towards planning the structure of offering and have taken feedback from more than 1000 respondents before finalizing on the user interface.
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
We have got the investment from some angel investors and have commitments/ interest from much more.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
All the people working with us till now have been happy and we have seen only one person leaving till now in a team of 15. There are two things we follow very religiously: First, we make them feel like owners and responsible towards the company and not towards a person or any target. We celebrate each success (no matter how small) with them and take the team’s view in every roadblock. Second, we operate with complete ethics and maintain our commitments towards the team and the consumer.
This gives the team a sense of security and trust on the future with the company.
