Murali is an enterprising person with ample expertise in product development, automotive and electrical engineering. He has an ME in electrical machines and a postgraduate diploma in entrepreneurship. He started his career as a research executive at Crompton Greaves. He is a focused person in his area of work and come out with great results in given conditions. He is a gentle and humble person, talks less and worth to have him in any organization.

Murali has always set himself broader goals. His passion for using the internet to ‘connect’ people and espouse causes has found expression in his ventures like ‘goevnts.com’, ‘evhub.in’ and other upcoming ones. Goevnts.com is an online platform where people can search and find a nearby event. GoEvnts is a professional networking platform for Event managers, Event exhibitors and Attendees to interact with each other guide which events to deal with and increase their ROI for the events.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Goevnts website has a freemium model of business networking opportunities to event managers, exhibitors, attendees, non-attendees and other related stakeholders where one can interact with each other to choose right events to deal with.

In addition, we have business event exclusive media and branding solutions to keep the stakeholders engaged and increase ROI to everyone. We are currently working on technology products around event industry and in customer survey stage.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

Business events are the backbone of international trade. But business event industry is plagued by High media & advertising cost and low ROI. GoEvnts was to help business event industry grow by introducing business networking opportunities among event stakeholders, innovative and cost-effective media solutions.

What is your life mantra?

My life mantra is dream big and work hard to achieve your dream.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Every moment from Ideation to the current stage is challenging but excited to face each challenge and solving myself. To name a few, finding a right partner for website development, each event coverage is challenging.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Most of the challenges have been solved by the guidance of my fellow mates in OCC Bangalore club, a Bangalore-based Entrepreneurs club. At times, my passion for learning troubleshoots and solves myself helped.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

Until date, I bootstrap GoEvnts with around 15K USD raised from my personal savings.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

An employee always doesn’t quit for money. By giving an employee the dignity, diverse jobs and strong career growth will protect from brain drain.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

Passion! Passion! Passion! …. Everything else comes automatically

My habit of using my smartphone from emails to website updating makes me more productive

What are your plans for next 3 years?

In next three years, we want to launch the mobile application for GoEvnts, execute technology products, which value global event industry. We want to expand Goevnts operations in Asia, Americas and Europe.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?

I am very happy and satisfied till now in my career. As Steve jobs said, I am currently connecting my dots from my past career experience.

Switzerland, Mauritius and Bangkok
