A first look at Megha Sharma, and you would find a typical librarian girl with curls in the hair and big dreams in the eyes. However, there is more to her that meets the eye. Being the youngest and most pampered in the family, she traveled a lot around with her parents. Right from the schooling days, she has been on the move having been studied at seven different schools across several cities in India.

She thoroughly enjoyed her growing up years, but as she grew, her aim to reach the sky also grew stronger. She has an MBA in finance from Symbiosis and vigor to make a name for her. She is always excited to make a mark, to be able to do much more than being a housewife and a mother. She is a model, socialite, and exhibitor for luxury brands running her own boutique – well known in fashion circle.

Her latest startup OwnMyFashion is one of its kind innovative marketplace for women fashion and accessory needs. She plans to disrupt the fashion industry by providing a one-stop gateway where women can shop for all their fashion requirements.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

OwnMyFashion gives a completely new meaning to buying and selling of new as well as pre owned women fashion merchandise in mint condition. It makes you an entrepreneur from your own home. All you need to do is list an item for sale in less than a minute by uploading pictures and an appropriate description using the OwnMyFashion app on Android or Ios. When you make a sale, first the merchandise is collected from your doorstep, it goes through a quality check at our warehouse and then smoothly delivered to the buyer. It opens you to a huge marketplace and takes care of all the logistics. OMF allows you in the most innovative manner to cash your closet anytime and add new.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

With my own overloaded closet and still almost everyday need to feed my fashion needs without guilt made me spring up to the thought that what if I could make best use of my almost new wardrobe. So, I decided to make a platform where women like me could buy and sell their fashion across India. At the same time, no harm in flaunting and getting accolades for all the fashion clothes and accessories in my closet.

What is your life mantra?

My life mantra is quite simple “Live & let live”.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Getting an App on line was the most daunting task.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We spent a lot of time and resources to ensure that our website and App ( Android & Ios) provides intuitive user journey and seamless last mile payment, doorstep pickup & delivery.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

Till now its bootstrapped. Now in this phase of our business we are looking out for investors, to make it on a big scale.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

Being a start up, such issues have not come across yet.
