Mansi Khambata is an innovator at heart with an aim to reach higher realms of success. Ever since the start of her career, she wanted to change the globally prevalent stereotypes which could not acknowledge Women Entrepreneurs. She has an MBA in finance and marketing as well as Btech in Polymer technology. She started her career as an analyst in IDFC.

Quickly she moved up the ranks and gained ample expertise at managerial levels. Her stint at entrepreneurship came in the form of just deliveries which she founded in 2010. In the span of over 5 years, she has built a huge brand around her startup, specializing in the deliveries of Luxury goods, cakes, fancy wedding invites, hampers etc – any product that needs careful handling or temperature control.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Just Deliveries is a delivery service that specializes in delivering delicate cakes, premium gifts, and products, which requires careful handling or temperature control. The service is available all over Mumbai. The company does bulk deliveries like birth announcements, wedding invites, and festive hampers as well as single deliveries such as cakes, floral arrangements, and high-end products. Mansi Khambata, Founder of Just Deliveries is a Chemical Engineer with an MBA from FMS, Delhi. Mansi has worked in several corporate companies including IDFC PE and the TATA Group before starting Just Deliveries with the primary aim to let Mumbaikars outsource their delivery hassles to a reliable service provider.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

On a particularly hot summer day, I was taking home a cake for a family function when I got stuck in traffic. Heat, pollution and countless minutes later I got out of the traffic only to realize that the cake melted and became a sugary mess. This is when I realized that in a city like Mumbai, many people must be facing the same issue. This was the thought that led to the conception of Just Deliveries.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Delivery Charges was quite unheard of when I started out in 2010 – although now most client understand that paying a delivery charge is cheaper than spending time and fuel in the mindless traffic.

How did you overcome those challenges?

The resistance around delivery charges is a tough one, however once clients try our services, they realize the benefits of outsourcing the delivery hassles – we, in turn, strive to be as efficient, reasonably priced and enable a smooth process for our clients.

I try to Make it a point to do one big / game changer / meaningful activity every day – else we tend to get caught up with the routine never ending tasks
