What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

When I was a student and had just entered Class 11, my dream was to score excellent marks and enter one of the best engineering colleges in the state. To do the same, I diligently joined tuitions, which was the biggest mistake of my life. My life became an endless sprint, running from one class to another the entire day to attend all kinds of different tuition’s.

Moreover, the huge sizes of the batches left me dazed, where many of my doubts were left unclear. Add to this the huge amount I’d paid as fees, and I felt that all I’d done had gone down the drain. It was after finishing Class 12th that the idea of Simplelecture.com germinated in my mind, towards which I began working after engineering and MBA. The aim was to create a one-stop solution for all the educational needs of the students. I shared this idea and passion of mine with eminent educationist Dr. Suresh Nagpal. The concept more than resonated with him and he whole heartedly backed the idea and the venture.

What is your life mantra ?

Don’t compare yourself to others. Instead, compare yourself to what you were yesterday. That is a sure-shot mantra towards bettering yourself.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

For me, every day is a challenging day,but the major challenge I faced was while building a dedicated team and setting up the studio within budget. As for the website, the aim was to make our lectures simple and easily understandable as per the understanding ability of the students.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We realized that every problem had a solution. In our case, we were able to find the solution by understanding the needs of people from different domains and by surveying more than 100 students to understand their needs in a better way.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

SimpleLectureis a family-and-friends venture and has not taken any investment from third parties.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

As I said earlier, building a dedicated team took time, and that is what has paid off – it is our biggest strength. We deal with all the problems as a family and every team member contributes to and carries the spirit of ownership.
