Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Edusync (www.edusync.co.in) is a cloud-enabled service meant to enhance the learning and teaching experience for students and teachers. With a simple interface, Edusync helps become a central platform for teachers to manage their classrooms digitally and makes it easier for students to have easier access to everything about their studies. Teachers can create multiple classrooms on Edusync’s platform, distribute and receive class assignments, make class schedules, put out announcements and have a personal talk with the students if need be. Students on the other hand can view their assignments, get access to all the study material, and be able to solve quick queries with their respective teachers and so on.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

Our team was very interested in Education and bringing something special in that Space. We spent a bit of time looking into the market and realized that Indian Education needed better Internet infrastructure for out of classroom interaction. Based on that, we developed Edusync.

What is your life mantra?

I believe that everything we do must in some way empower others first and then ourselves. Only through such action can we truly be happy.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

I’d say marketing. I’m personally a dreamer and as such not the best in conveying that vision. And Indian institutes aren’t always the best at focusing on modernizing.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We spent a lot of time and effort forming a team of professionals who focus on explaining all layers of the institute (management, teachers and students) the benefits of migrating to and using Edusync.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

Being an Internet company, our best investments are our people, and our hard work in creating a team of energetic and effective individuals has certainly paid off.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

We’ve yet to have people leaving the company, but it’s certainly a concern we need to deal with. Currently we provide the best benefits and revenue sharing options for all our workers from the ground up to keep our staff interested in our common vision.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

Positivity, An interest in experimenting, and patience.

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

We love dropbox, Gmail and a host of other online services that are great!

Share any one habit which you wish to change in yourself.

I’d love to spend less time developing concepts and more time interacting with people to improve them.

Answer in less than 50 words

  • One tip to success:

Experimentation is the key to success. You can never outperform the competition by working just like them. In any field, one must always be trying to change and improve practices and systems till they run just right.

  • One mistake you believe every individual must avoid:

Losing focus in business and life is extremely easy. Most people forget what truly drives them and makes them happy. It’s important to always remember what those things are and work towards achieving them, no matter what.

  • One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

One can only be fulfilled by empowering others. This creates a feedback loop that is more powerful than blind ambition to succeed. In the long run, this is what will always triumph.

What are your plans for next 3 years?

We’d love to push Edusync throughout the Indian Education Space. Our hope in 3 years is that Edusync becomes a force of change in Indian Education, and it helps students and teachers embrace the web as a teaching tool.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?

I’d keep more time aside for vacations!

What are your top three getaway destinations?

Being a Mumbai-ite, I love Alibaug. But Kerala and Goa round out my top 3.
