When I was working as a Company Secretary which was 11 years back, I felt the need of improving the English communication and soft skills of the people in Kolkata. I felt that although there was talent, but the inadequacy in communication and soft skills was hindering the career of many young people. Thereafter I decided to start my own organization with the vision of improving both these above mention traits of the people in Kolkata.

What is your life mantra?

Be Happy & make others Happy.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

The most challenging part of my journey was the first five years of business as I had no experience of doing business till then. The business was also going through very difficult times, hence had to cope with both the dual factors of running a business as well facing a cash crunch.

How did you overcome those challenges?

I was extremely passionate about my vision about imparting training through which I wanted to make a difference to the lives of people. This inspiration pulled me through. I restructured our business whereby we shifted our focus from Retail Training to Corporate Training. We also diversified from Language and Soft Skill Training to Information Technology (IT) training. So the shift in strategy but keeping the vision firm helped us to overcome the challenges.

One tip to success:

Our mind is extremely powerful. The way we think molds our life. It is very important to practice positive thinking in life to be successful. One must focus on one’s strength rather than brooding over one’s weakness. This helps to overcome difficult situations because the mind gets focused and it gives strength to the mind to be resilient and thus overpower the barriers.

One mistake you believe every individual must avoid:

Procrastination. The more one defers action, the more one loses the opportunity and this prevents a person from becoming successful in life.

One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

Perseverance. The mantra “never give up” makes the mind strong and helps the person to overcome obstacles. For this one needs to be patient and have complete faith in ones abilities. It is also important to be passionate about what one wants to achieve.

What are your plans for next 3 years?

  1. To make the organization strong in all its verticals that is – Training & Translation-Interpretation
  2. To do work crossing the national boundaries.
  3. To include more training services to the corporate world.
