My love for food started at the age of 15 when I learnt the traditional Tamilian Brahmin cooking from my mother and my grandmother. Secretly handed down recipes through generations that I wanted to share with the world is what inspired me to follow my dream. After my mom passed away,I moved on and did what I do best!Started my dream with Tanjore!

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
Being a lady in a male-dominated restaurant business sector where only men belong in the professional kitchens was the biggest challenge. Getting everything right such as finding the appropriate location, getting the licenses done, finding the right staff, bookkeeping, account maintenance and training my staff to understand my dream were some of the challenges that were faced by me as a first-time entrepreneur. Changing people’s perception about authentic food from the south unlike what is served in udipis around the city and educated them has also been a journey.
