Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
The Corporate Diva is the first of its kind event celebrating women@work! The unique concept is a result of vast research among working women on what are their secret aspirations are and how the workplace can be conducive in making them achieve their desire, that to be a DIVA! It typically is preceded with Corporate fitness and grooming workshops which further culminates into a corporate-centric pageant.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
The launch of a new concept is always a challenge. Convincing people and organisations, bringing in funds and sponsorships, have been challenging, But with the successful culmination of our 1st edition in Bangalore, we’ve learnt, with conviction and determination, all challenges can be overcome
How did you overcome those challenges?
We just didn’t stop trying. There are moments that make you question yourself and demotivate you, but all you have to do is to believe in yourself and keep going with strong determination and perseverance.
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
It’s been tough, but with great pride we share, with our concept being so rich and unique, we got tremendous support from organisations like La Closet (a luxury clothing brand), Fortis La Femme, BIOCON, HARMAN, The Waverly etc. Along with this, for the first edition of the event we had 17 sponsors on board; Faasos, Radnik, Four fountains spa, Rage chocolatier, Radio Mirchietc to name a few, all this in a span of 2 months
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
We’re a fairly new and small team of equally motivated women. Attrition could be a challenge, but, we are yet to face.

Trusting verbal commitments/confirmations. I’ve learnt through experience, that though in all business workings a human touch of trust and confidentiality is vital, but also it all must be backed by at least an email confirmation if not a formal contract.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?
I’d start younger when there are lesser responsibilities and more work time! It’s ironical, the biggest decisions of one’s life(field of study, career, etc.), are made when we’re young and inexperienced, relying totally on our gut.

Beaches, Family, Luxury: a blend of these makes a perfect getaway, Destination comes next.
