Born in 1984, Devika has travelled across many Indian cities since she hails from the defence background. She began writing poems in 1997 and has continued her passion for writing until date.  She believes ‘Work is Fun’; after switching several profiles in her professional journey, she is finally satisfied with the profile of Content Writing (currently has 3 years of relevant experience). Her hobbies include Reading, Listening to Music, Theatre and Creative Writing. She is currently working as a Senior Content Writer in IT Company at Gurgaon, a Theatre Artist/ Trained Salsa Dancer, and an Author.

Please provide a brief overview about yourself & about your professional life?

I am an avid writer and author of multiple books. I have edited two books (a novel called Absolute Love Letter and a business fiction book called Diamonds In The Rough). I released my first book titled ‘7 Vows of Marriage’ which got over 4.7 star rating on amazon. My second book titled ‘The Mind Game’ is under publishing and will be available soon.

What is your life mantra?

Life is given once; live to the fullest.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Switching jobs in order to find the perfect career. I have been jobless for 6 months that did not have a good impact on my resume. But, I didn’t want to take up a job where I didn’t have any learning opportunity. I have switched jobs within 3 months of joining, as I did not enjoy my work.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Meeting new people to learn from them and stay motivated.

News, banking, dining. I am not very tech-savvy.

Being humble even if you are the CEO of a company or at the peak of your career. Nobody knows everything. Your employees can also teach you a lot.

Ego damages you as a person. Wear your attitude but not to dominate others.

One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

Giving people their due respect and not belittle anyone.
