At Eventila, we believe that our technology can innovate your celebrations by connecting you Netizens with the best vendors. So be it planning just a Friday night party with friends, family get-togethers, kid’s first birthdays, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, kitty parties, wedding events, pre and post wedding parties; and Corporate parties and functions (team outings, team building activities, day picnics, corporate wellness programs, client meet-ups, press releases, award nights, MICE events etc) we cater to any and all things event!

I started experimenting with the idea in the beginning of 2015. I had to organise a 50-60 gathering function. That’s when I found how exhaustive this process could be for newbie like me who had little context. There is a plethora of help, vendors or articles available on internet. But, none of these actually helped me zero down and choose the right set of vendors for my event.

I had a fair sense of idea on what kind of product I wanted to build. Taking help from one of the friends, development of the prototype started and a working model was established. That’s when the real journey began.

Always be willing to listen and learn good things from others. Accept your shortcomings and failures but never ever give up.

Online event planning industry is in a very nascent stage in India. People still are little reluctant to entrust their big budget events to some vendor that are not known to them or their close relatives and friends.

Add to this the attitude created by recent frenzy of discounts offered by online portals to acquire customers in India. In such scenario, acquiring real customers gets little too hard.

For every customer inquiry we get, we give our 100 percent in serving that customer requirement. We focus on showcasing the value we bring them.  I guess that’s the reason why we have been able to create some happy repeat customers for ourselves.

We are boot-strapped currently, with investments from friends and family.

I believe in 3P principle – Positive thinking, Patience and Perseverance.

• Google Apps for work – for working seamlessly and collaboratively across team.
• Canva for design. It’s a great easy to use tool for designing creative stuff.
• HubSpot CRM sales tool for managing and tracking our sales leads
• Mailchimp is another useful tool for creating professional mail templates for email marketing
• For task management Trello is one of the best free tools that we love working with.
•  From time to time, we keep exploring new tools and technology for efficient working and team/work management.

I am always open to learning new things/new ideas and adapt myself accordingly.

I am trying to start my day early so that I have ample time for my own self, work and my daughter.

One tip to success:

Goal setting is very important for achieving results. In a start-up there will always be thousand of things to do. One needs to learn to prioritize and execute the most important 2-3 key tasks for achieving success.

One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

Stay fiercely positive and believe in yourself!

Although we look like a services marketplace in the event management domain, our prime focus is to bring innovation in this domain. There are many customer centric features that we are working on presently, which will help customers to organize their event seamlessly.

We are going live with our App release soon which will enable any customer to book any event right from restaurant deal booking for get-togthers, Friday night parties to big ticket private, weddings and corporate events on the go. We are also building up innovative features like Invite management, Event Dashboard, Route management, Gift Sourcing, Automated listing of vendors based on customer’s requirements, Nearby event feeds etc.

Our aim is to become the trusted partner for a person’s entire life events. We want to be the place someone thinks of, if they have any kind of party need.

I would not wait for so long to start something of my own.

Kashmir and Goa stays on my top list. Exploring the untouched natural beauty of north east is on my bucket list. Whenever it happens, I am sure it would be my best get away list.
