The Great Work Starts With an idea!
TheNextTech is a technology-related news and article publishing portal where our techie and non-techie readers, interest in technological stuff, read us with equal curiosity. We hustle to keep them updated.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/service?
Beyond what the name suggests, The Next Tech is a general blog that cuts across a host of major niches, including Tech but not only limited to it.
The Next Tech also covers a wide range of spectrum including business, finance, personal development, and security, among others. The blog offers timeless information to thousands of monthly visitors.
The goal has always been to be a major hub where everyone having an interest in these subjects can come and get help.
What inspired you to build the above product/service?
My major inspiration is the passion to contribute actively to the information pool on the internet. There is a lot of redundant content on the internet. However, there is a poor representation of information. So, we wanted to offer something original and valuable to the readers.
If you’ve ever searched for something on Google and not found it, you’d have a better understanding of how difficult it might be to obtain certain information.
This is what inspired me to set up The Next Tech. And that’s why it cuts across different niches to reach out to as many as possible.
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
I’d say that the toughest challenge I’ve had is to sail above the competition of blogging. You would agree that there are millions of websites out there.
Each one is fighting for dominance over the other. Achieving the highest ranking on Google’s SERP for any keyword is really tough.
It gets tougher if it’s a saturated niche like mine. For now, we’ve got only a few ten thousands of monthly visitors. But we are pushing hard, rolling out new content regularly, and staying relevant.
How did you overcome initial mindset challenges?
Winning is a must for me. I had always been optimistic and positive about everything I embarked on. So I can’t say there was any time I was plagued with a mindset challenge pertaining to this project.
I gave it all knowing that a lot of folks out there had done it before and did it very well. That was all I needed to know before I dived into the market.
According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?
Vision: I believe success starts with conceiving an idea and having the right picture of where you’re headed to.
Will power: it’s never enough to have a vision. You’ve got to have the drive to actualize it. You’ve got to make up your mind to start.
Resilience: This is the toughest part. That’s because it’s easier to start than to continue. There are several limiting factors on the path to greatness. If you can stay dogged and resilient, success will be inevitable.
What is your life mantra?
I can be the best version of myself.
Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?
I use several tools for different purposes. Among them, I find Google Keep to be the most useful.
This is because I use it to jot ideas and thoughts as they drop. I also love the fact that I can retrieve the information on any platform.
Google Docs has a special place in my heart too. It’s a nice improvement from the traditional Word we grew up with.
I’d also recommend Trello. It’s got a lot of competitors with equally amazing services. I’ve used it a couple of times primarily for collaboration.
Share any one habit which you think makes you more productive.
I do things that most people around me think it’s unachievable or when they are yet to see its viability. By the time they are set to debate on it, I’m already leagues away. It’s pretty risky. But then, there is no reward without risks.
Share any one habit which you wish to change in yourself.
This is a tough one. I will answer you when I think of any.
What are your plans for the next 3 years?
I want to explore other spheres and sub-niches of The Next Tech. This time around, I want to be an active participant in those niches.
I’ve been keeping a close watch of trends and my major plan for the next couple of years is to either pioneer a trend or ride on the shoulders of a newly emerging one.
If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?
I think I’ll start earlier
What are your top three getaway destinations?
It’s Barbados for me. I’ve never been to any of the Caribbean countries, but I’ve read a lot about Barbados to love it. Others would be Fiji Island and Madrid.
Share a quote that inspires you the most.
That would be the last two lines from the poem, Invictus by William Ernest Henley, “I am the master of my fate. I’m the captain of my soul.” These lines remind me so much of how much we need to take responsibility for our actions and stay true to our dreams and aspirations.
