Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

AllizHealth is building health management platform. The role of this platform would be to help users figure their areas of health risks early, use various tools to monitor such risks and access variety of resources to manage the same.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

The inspiration came in from both personal and professional experiences. I have been in healthcare all my professional life, so the choice of space was obvious for me, even myopic to a certain extent. I do not know any other subject. Then there were certain incidents on a personal front as well which led me to believe that curative care has to make way for preventive health.

What is your life mantra?

Everything in life happens for a reason, and, for good.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

The most challenging part has certainly been dealing with the frequent lows and the disappointments. It gets extremely tough to gather yourself and get back to work.

How did you overcome those challenges?

I am fortunate to have a great support system. On one side I have my family as a constant source of encouragement and their belief in my abilities is incredible. On the other side, my extremely passionate team and their never give up attitude gives me the resolve to bounce back.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

We have raised a seed round of $350K from Mumbai Angels. The primary use of the funds were to strengthen our technology team and add innovative features to our platform.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

There is a great deal of learning which happens when one is working with a start-up. Wearing multiple hats and multi-tasking is almost the norm. We have been lucky to find a bunch of extremely talented people who realize this truth and the challenge drives them to work every day. For other not so entrepreneurial talents, we look to provide a culture where there is less of uncertainty and clarity in decision making.
