Bernard D’sa studied English literature along with philosophy and spirituality. Being a writer of several books, Bernard also maintains an inspirational blog titled “Beautiful Inspirations”. His books can be found on Amazon, Flipkart and Infibeam.
As a writer, he observed that the process of publishing a book is difficult, which eventually became his motivation for starting the RainDrops Company. Founded in 2012, RainDrops provide high quality books that are result of exquisite workmanship. The company also provides book distribution, event management, and IT Services.
Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.
RainDrops is a Book Publishing Company founded in 2012. Since then, it has been committed in providing high quality books that are a result of thoughtful idealization, innovative designs, and superior craftsmanship.
What inspired you to build the above product/ service?
As an Author/Poet, I personally found that the process of getting your story (manuscript) converted into a paperback book as a stringent process. I wanted to build a platform where we could have well established poets/authors featured along with debutante ones.
What is your life mantra?
Sleep, Dream, Wake Up, Execute the Dream
What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?
In the beginning we didn’t have much support and distribution.
How did you overcome those challenges?
We started visiting the book stores and personally tracking the sales and meting the readers.
Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.
RainDrops Company is completely bootstrapped.
How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?
Good management and an employment friendly atmosphere.
According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?
Hardworking, Determination
Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?
I would personally recommend Corel Draw as one of the finest tools for designing and layout.

What are your plans for next 3 years?
We have plans to get into Regional and Religious books. To expand the overseas distribution process.
If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?
I don’t think I will change anything.

New York, London and New Zealand
