A software developer turned digital marketing professional, Ayush Sinha did Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Technology from Birla Institute of Technology. After that, he worked at Genom Biotech as a software developer and later worked at Tech7 Solutions as marketing manager. Ayush continued to educate himself and went for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Marketing from Birla Institute of Management and Technology. Working with a passion for helping people, Ayush expanded his job portal, Careesma, to India. His goal for the next three years is to expand Careesma and reach more people.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

We are a horizontal job portal having jobs and candidates across the spectrum. As far as our services are concerned we operate on a freemium model where clients get some free job posts every month, which also helps them evaluate our services.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

We have been helping people get jobs since 1996 and this excites us. This is the very reason we started in India. We are looking at 1 million new job seekers entering Indian job market every month and even if we are able to help 1 percent of them that’s already a huge number.

What is your life mantra?

If you want respect, give respect. You get in return, what you give!

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

India is a very difficult market. Apart from being overly price sensitive, every region is unique. So, the most challenging part has been to understand the needs of the customer and educating customers about our product.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We were able to clearly establish the benefits of our product vis-a-vis our competitors and it helped the product in getting acceptance.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

All the investments till date have been done by the parent group itself but we are open to external investment opportunities as well.

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

We use Google Analytics, Similarweb and Flurry a lot.To get a firm grip on the numbers,every digital company should use them.

In the next 3 years we plan to scale-up the business and increase our reach.

We would like to focus and dedicate more time on product.
