If you had to describe Amitesh in a single word then it surely would be forward-thinker. He always had a knack for building solutions that build a better community. After completing his B.Tech and subsequently M.Tech from IIT Bombay in electrical engineering, he started his career as a business analyst. After working on several projects, we decided to take the plunge and launch his own company Trident analytical solutions. The main aim of this startup is to provide powerful social media analytics, management and monitoring services through this platform.

Soon he launched his second venture called Shabdanagari. It is a next-generation platform on the internet offering its services in Hindi. Within a span of few years, the platform garnered immense success with over 1.5 Lakh unique visitors, more than 6.5 Lakh page views and over 20000 registered bloggers.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Shabdanagari is the first of its kind platform on the internet that provides the ability to read and write content in Hindi on the internet.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

Unavailability of good online platforms for Hindi speakers in India.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

People’s inclination towards using English on the internet.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We are still working on those challenges. Changing the mindset of people to use their native language on the internet is not so easy in India.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

We raised a seed round of 25 Lakhs from SIIC, IIT Kanpur in 2014. We are working to raise our first round of 80-120 Lakhs from Kanpur Angels and Ah! Ventures.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

Train people well enough so they can leave. But Treat them well enough so they don’t want to.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

Hard work, Honesty and a strong desire to succeed.

WhatsApp, Facebook & Shabdanagari.

Don’t want to start all over again. We are doing good.
