Amandeep Kakkar started his career by working as a trainee with Airtel. Prior to this, he graduated from Chitkara University with a degree in Computer Science. Later, he did his post graduation in Bachelor of Laws from Punjab University.

During his internship at Punjab & Haryana High Court, he felt a gap between clients and lawyers. To address this problem, he founded Lawsolva.com, which is is an open platform for everyone to discuss and enquire about their “legal queries”.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Lawsolva is an open platform for everyone to discuss and enquire about their “legal queries”. Whether business related or personal you get quick expert advice from experienced lawyers across the nation through the “Alleys” feature.

Users can book office and online appointments through our platform. Individuals can get solid legal advice at inexpensive prices while they sit at home and via personal meetings.

We also serve the purpose for lawyers to connect with their potential clients . They can get noticed for their work and achievements by their online profile and feedback ratings. Currently we have over 300 legal experts with us out of which 60 lawyers are from Supreme Court of India.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

During my internship in 2013 at Punjab & Haryana High Court, I couldn’t ignore the roof-touching piles of paperwork. In the coming days I also realized that the only medium the client had to reach the lawyer was through references via., lawyers, friends or relatives in court. I felt there was vital need of a digital platform to make the lawyer directly accessible to the client . A platform where the users could access the detailed profile of the lawyer.

What is your life mantra?

The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your own arm

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

To find the right team and the refinement of the idea was a challenge.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Extensive Brainstorming is the only thing that helps overcome such challenges. Arguments are healthy , as long as they are for the development of the product. LawSolva team would always be the muscle of our product. We are 3 cofounders at Lawsolva: Amandeep Kakkar- B.E, L.L.b(Panjab university, Dept. of Laws, Chandigarh) Paras Vij- B.E , M.E (Thapar Enginerring College, Patiala) Abhay panwar- B.E, ME.(Punjab Engineering college, Chandigarh)

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

Currently we are bootstraping. We would be looking to raise investment in the coming months.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

Goal Plan and a Consistent approach while execution.

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

Powtoons , Hootsuite.

Tracing problems and fixing them as as soon as possible.Being a critic of your own product helps you trace those problems.

I would definitely like to start waking up early and sleep on time at nights.

Our mission is to provide swift and reliable legal solutions on a single platform. We plan on making legal advice and hiring as congenial as ordering shoes online. We aim at removing the obstacles that individuals,companies,SMEs and lawyers face in connecting with each other. Lawsolva is going to be the one stop destination for all the legal demands in India.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?

Not at all . I am an engineer who pursued L.L.b and co-founded a legal-tech startup. It makes sense.

What are your top three getaway destinations?

Manali, Goa and Shimla.
