Most of the entrepreneurs and startups these days are born out of the need to change to current system. Abhimanyu Bhosle is one such name that aims at correcting all the irregularities in the healthcare system. His story towards brilliance starts from a very young age, although it came to the limelight only after he completed his B.Tech in computer science from Pune institute of computer technology. This is where he started his two projects LiveHealth and Credenz.

LiveHealth is a portal, which makes it easier to manage your health records and keep track of the same. It, allows users to share personal medical information with family and doctors in a simpler and more personal way hence, providing quality health care irrespective of socio-economic and geographical constraints. Abhimanyu aims at making LiveHealth a central hub of healthcare in India. His team building thought leadership and strategic planning capabilities are the core reason behind the success of LiveHealth.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Livehealth is an experience driven platform. We understand that if a platform is supposed to be a bridge between the patients and healthcare providers it needs to adaptable, smart and simple. A solution that both works with providers and patients.

The best part of our solution is, even my/any Mom can use it. It’s just really simple for patients. Just login and all your records are always updated automatically, free, forever. No hassles of uploading, scanning updating and what not!

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

Every time I visited a healthcare centre (diagnostic centre or hospital) to take my grand dad for testing or routine checkup I saw a lot of problems which technology could solve. A thing to wonder is, with all the complexity of the brilliant technology in healthcare, like MRI machines, automatic blood analyzers, etc., we still don’t have a good medical record management solutions, for both Providers, hospitals and patients. Livehealth is just that, a platform which helps providers and patients both get most benefits from each other.

The broken user experience in healthcare made us get into this.

What is your life mantra?

We come here for a helping humanity grow, evolve and prosper. Just do that. Solve a problem!

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

We don’t come from an healthcare background, but we know we need domain expertise here. Getting the right healthcare professionals to work and help us understand the process of how a diagnostic testing works or how a MRI scan is done is where we had and still do have our most challenging time.

The most interesting and challenging part is bridging the healthcare and technology gap.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Perseverance.

We worked with more than 45 doctors trying to understand what problems they face. What are the intricacies and details in the system, understand all that and also try to solve the most difficult problems which most technology companies shy away from.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

We just raised $300,000 for growth. From two healthcare leaders.

  • Dr. Samant – CEO of Akumentis
  • Dr. Dhembare – CEO of Fidelity Diagnostics and Stemcell research CRO

Fortunately, our solution and sales also gets us good revenues, since providers are more than willing to pay our SaaS fees.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

An open culture. Everybody at Livehealth thinks we need get this to every healthcare provider in the world. I suppose the vision has helped our people stay back.

Honestly, haven’t done anything explicit yet and only 2 out of 18 people over 1.5 years have left.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

Perseverance, the urge for getting better everyday/evolve, hunger for growth.

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

Well, not sure about this. But, I read a lot. So I use Pocket for saving articles and reading it later.

Answer in less than 50 words

One tip to success:

Solve a problem, build value and don’t shy away from putting a price tag over. If it’s worth people will pay.

One mistake you believe every individual must avoid:

Waiting.

We wait to be ready in life to start up or make our own decisions. Don’t wait. Just do it!

One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

Quatify growth, talk metrics. Often people forget, it’s sometimes the numbers that speak more than anything.

What are your plans for next 3 years?

Grow. And give Hospitals and rest of the healthcare industry the Livehealth experience.

There are some really interesting things lined up for 2016.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?

Nothing.

Hmm maybe work faster and harder if I already have the knowledge and understanding of healthcare that we do now.

What are your top three getaway destinations?

  • A coffee shop near our office. Calm and quite there
  • A walk near our office next to the highway
  • A Jazz cafĂ©
