Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

IIBM Institute of Business Management www.iibmindia.in is a leading and trusted institute providing certification programs in management to the working professionals through online mode. These courses are developed to bridge the gap between industry and academia. These courses enhance the student’s skills, exposure, and marketability.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

The skill gap between the industry and academia is a big challenge of today. The reason that inspired me to develop a specialized managerial level course for the working professional was when I observed the skill gap among the employees. I started my career with ISO certification body. While auditing various organizations and speaking to the owners/ entrepreneurs, I observed wide gap among the talent of the employees and the expectation of the employer.

This was the turning point and after that, I started training employees in my father’s company. And gradually found the change in the output of those employees. Thereafter, I started pursuing this opportunity commercially and today, I’m happy to have helped many professionals to bridge this gap and upgrade their skills.

What is your life mantra?

“Your mind is NOT a locker, do not store anything in this, and let new ideas always penetrate. Conceive new concepts, Believe in yourself and put enough energy focused in the right direction to achieve the same. “

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

In India, the foremost challenge is after the formal education, the inclination of mass towards continuous learning is not high. So, we have to generate that desire among candidates and that is actually very beneficial for them only. To motivate the learner to take decision for further learning is tough.

Another challenge is that the digital space is very dynamic and fast moving. One has to continuously change and upgrade himself to keep up with it.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Our courses are extremely beneficial for learners. We just have to break the notion “why do I need more learning?”, and it’s not that tough.

To catch up with the changing digital scenario my team keeps themselves upgraded by attending seminars and exhibitions in education and digital marketing segment.

From the day one, we were able to cover up all our running costs. We started with a team of four in April 2008, now the team size is 150+ qualified well-trained employees and very well furnished infrastructure. Initially, the revenue generated was limited, but with the passage of time we surpassed the annual revenue of 10 cr / annum and in 2016-17 we aim to cross 18 cr. The funds generated are re-invested in the organization itself for future growth and sustainability.
