"Just keep on doing your work silently and one day that works will speak for you"

Neetesh is a young entrepreneur with an eye for upcoming trends. He has always been an avid learner focusing on design, project management and user interface. He is of the view that it is never too early to jump on the startup bandwagon. He is among the crop of the new entrepreneur who has managed to make a name for them while completing their studies.

His ingenuity and prominence came to the forefront when he cofounded and launched bookwoof. It is a self-publishing platform for young writers. Bookwoof is devoted to those naive writers, who possess a story in their head or already written it and want to tell their story to the world. Within a span of little under two years, the platform has gained much credence among young writers.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

We are a self-publishing company aimed at naive and deserving writers. We observed that even college students have those writing skills found in famous writers but they do not get a platform. Traditional publishers rather than seeing your writing see your profile; that if you are an IIM pass out or not. So, we thought why not give these students a chance… and thus Bookwoof was born.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

When my friend Shahrukh started writing the novel, who is now my Cofounder, we found that the book publishing is not so easy for a student in his 3rd year. We also tried to publish his book from different platforms but didn’t get any response so, one day I said to him that leave these publishers and we will publish the book by ourselves and from that day this idea came into existence.

What is your life mantra?

“Just keep on doing your work silently and one day that works will speak for you.”

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Everything was challenging, from the start. Anything you are doing against the dogma is challenging and we are happy that we have overcome all that.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We were determined for the aim with which we started Bookwoof, it helps us to keep going no matter what and yes my great team, which never let anyone down.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

Well…. as of now… we didn’t have any investors… we are a bootstrapped venture.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

As of now we haven’t been in such a situation if anything like that will happen we will definitely learn from it and happy to take some good out of it.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

There are a number of qualities required in my opinion. One being the passion like that of a drowning man needing air.

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

I think that the most useful and powerful online tool is Facebook. More than just a social networking website. It has turned into a great place for business and making brands. You can also use LinkedIn for networking and marketing your startup. These all tools are the most helpful tool, rather than this I also use twitter, Instagram, for being in between with our customer.

Share any one habit which you think makes you more productive.

‘Unsatisfaction’ because when you get satisfied you stops innovation and I never want to stop that thing in our company.

Share any one habit which you wish to change in yourself.

There are many habits, which we are eager to change. As being an entrepreneur, you have to be with a lot and lot of people and thus its needs flexibility… you cannot be as you are for so many peoples around… Thus, we are working on ourselves as an individual…to let go any ego and build what we were set to.

While doing a startup you have to drop your ego, you have to do all things that one can never do with a touch of ego you have to listen, you have to deliver, you have to do such things that requires courage.
