Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

WeddingPlz.com, is a unique online platform designed to find the best wedding vendors in town. From giving the maximum and most detailed information about vendors to helping the to-be-wed couples plan their wedding step by step, it is a one stop solution for all the wedding needs.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

While away attending my cousin’s wedding in Ludhiana,the inconvenience caused to me,to find one good wedding vendor at the last moment in the vicinity of my hotel,is what prompted me to explore the idea a wedding portal. Seeing how easy it was to search food joints on ‘Zomato’ and how difficult to search for wedding products and services on net, is what deepened my conviction to start working on this idea further and thus WeddingPlz.com– Search the best wedding vendors in town!

What is your life mantra?

Inquisitive by nature, i like doing extensive research before finalizing on any new ideas and solutions. With technology changing the landscape of how businesses operate, my mantra for success is – to develop faster, better, cheaper.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

In weddings, there are more than 100 areas that need to be taken care of, involving huge amount of networking and referrals making weddings seem chaotic and unorganized. Integrating every service needed for the wedding to make weddingplz a one stop destination to search, manage and organize everything for wedding online was one of the most challenging aspect of wedding.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We talked to a lot to be wed couples and vendors. We asked them about their pain points and the problem areas they face while planning and organizing a wedding and connecting to each other. Basis that we made weddingplz.com the most integrated yet exhaustive search portal.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

We never approached the investors till now. But now is the time to do so. Now with the right product and traction, the website is ready to be taken to industry stalwarts and VCs. I am sure i will be giving you the investment news very soon.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

Attrition is something we cannot prevent but can definitely try and control. We give our employees a clear and transparent career ladder along with a professional development plan, so that the employees know what they must do to earn and go up in progression. A clear professional development plan gives employees an incentive to stick around.

Besides this a good and cordial relationship is an add on to every work place.

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

Although success cannot be limited to just 3 qualities but nevertheless the ones that are definite to achieve success are:

1) Perseverance : To succeed, you need to be perseverant during difficult times. Nothing can take the place of persistence and you can’t succeed without it.

2) Positive Attitude/Optimism – No matter what problems you encounter, you have got to keep the flame burning.

3) Drive : Be determined and no one can stop you. Drive yourself with aim and align yourself with excellence.

I like reading a lot and guess that really adds on to my productivity at every level.

Sometimes i tend to procrastinate. This is one thing i dislike about myself and am working on it sincerely.

Impulsive decision making is the mistake which we should take care of. Each n every step of ours should be well researched and thought of.

One most important lesson that you have learnt till now:

I guess one of the most important things I’ve learned is to be careful about letting other people decide who I am for me. Way too often people will try to tell me I’m this kind of person or that kind of person. Who I am should not be affected by how other people choose to see me.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?

I would have started weddingplz sooner
