Kranthi is an IIT graduate who co-founded migrera.com with few of his friends from similar industry. As software professionals, they faced huge trouble while shifting from one place to another. All the bad experiences that they gathered then motivated them to build a network of movers & packers so they are easily accessible to people. This is how Migrera, a portal that offers online solution to all shifting needs was brought to life. Migrera helps users choose quotes based on reviews and find a mover nearest to them.

Kranthi, a computer science and engineering graduate from IIT Delhi plays key role in the functioning of Migrera. He specializes in ROR, MySQL, JavaScript and HTML and contributes to this co-founded venture as lead platform developer too. There is much more to his life as an entrepreneur and travel enthusiast; this interview explores all.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

Migrera is an innovative startup in the unorganized moving industry that provides an online solution to all shifting needs. Customer just have to list his/her moving items on migrera.com and within 24 hours (or some time format) We will be ready with best quotes from our trusted network of packers and movers. Customer can choose the best quote based on the already available reviews, ratings and prices and leave the rest to Migrera. In a nutshell, have a smooth and hassle free.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

Personal experience, while I was shifting my house in Mumbai I had to spend a day to find out packers and movers and to finalize them. A similar experience to one of my friends made us to think about this sector. It begins with making numerous calls to various packers and movers, asking them to visit the house and struggling to decide the mover that suits our requirement. Not to mention the last minute surprises on the moving date. With a vision of avoiding this chaos we have started Migrera

What is your life mantra?

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

To build a trusted network of packers and movers. This became an onerous task because of the unorganized nature of this sector. Very few packers and movers are certified and have real office spaces. Also, as most of the packers and movers are online averse.

How did you overcome those challenges?

We kept our patience. we have met more than 40 packers and movers, it took us great effort to make them realize the importance of online presence and understand our tool. However, today the packers and movers associated with us are comfortable using it and are also endorsing our product.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

We’re completely bootstrapped still now. And we’re planning out for funding soon to fuel our expansion plans.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

Right now we are all co founders working.

What are your plans for next 3 years?

We have an aggressive plans of expanding to Tier-1,Tier-2 cities. We are investing lot of time and money in developing algorithms to make this sector organized. we are coming up with INSTANT QUOTES in the near future.

If you get a chance to start your career again what would you do differently this time?

I would love to start my startup journey earlier.
