Ashish is known as a visionary and has almost two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. He has been a successful actor and has acted in numerous TV shows. He also has a successful event management company to his name, which manages various nightclubs and restro-bars. Taking cognizance of his capabilities and knack for innovation he soon pondered upon the idea of launching a startup related to hospitality industry. This is what led to the formation of ADDABOOKING.COM. It is a simple yet effective solution for people looking to book a venue for any occasion.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

ADDABOOKING is a One-stop shop for all Venue bookings and Event related services. We help one Book Venues at the best prices and then also help our customers with the best service providers if they so require. Currently we operational in DelhiNCR and will soon be there in Mumbai.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

The experiences I had both as a consumer as well as a person running Restros and Lounges, made me realize that there was huge market gap within this industry when it came to Booking Venues for Parties or Social Events.

What is your life mantra?

Life is a journey where we learn each day so always have an open mind and keep moving.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

The initial challenge is a personal one. It’s when one has an idea and then needs to work on it and give it shape. Once that is done it requires some finances to get it off the ground. Then it was about convincing the Vendors to part with as much info as they could so that the customers know everything online. Now it is reaching out to as many people out there with the product. So I would say it is a cyclical thing and there are various challenges thrown at entrepreneurs at every level daily. It is how we deal with it in our heads that makes the challenge big or small.

How did you overcome those challenges?

Well one just has to be persistent in one’s approach.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

It has been bootstrapped until now with my Partner Mr. Sachin Garg funding the initial phase of the business. We are currently looking out for Pre Series A funding.

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

Well apart from Zomato, Go-Ibibo, Booking.com and TripAdvisor, I am a huge fan of Paytm. Also enjoy the FITPASS app. Oh and Netflix. It is a boon as I can now watch my favourite shows and films on the go.

Share any one habit which you think makes you more productive.

I think I am a stickler for quality and even though it always takes more time, I feel in the long run it always turns out to be more productive

Share any one habit which you wish to change in yourself.

I am up until late at night and that is something I would really wish to change.

What are your plans for next 3 years?

To take Addabooking pan India and make it the premier Venue and Event Services booking platform in the country.

What are your top three getaway destinations?

Goa, Dubai and Europe (can’t name any one city in Europe but if I had to it would be London)
