"Resolve Issues at Hand before moving forward."

Akshat is a multi-talented individual who stepped into ecommerce world without having any prior experience in online selling. After completing MBA Finance from Christ University he worked as manager in ING Vysya Bank. If you think it’s impossible to found a startup without prior experience or huge funds, then Akshat is the living example of doing the impossible.

Akshat believes that there is nothing that you cannot attain in this world. With hard work and will power he started off alone and brought ClickOnCare from 1800 SKU’s, all vanilla products to complete healthcare segment with cosmaceutical & dermacare Products. Not just a businessman, he is a national level shooter, plays golf and supports animal welfare too. Read more about the inspirational journey of this young entrepreneur.

Please provide a brief overview of your product/ service.

A Zero Experience in E-Commerce can only lead to some Serious Damages. I started off with about 1800 SKU’s, all vanilla products, only to ascertain the Industry’s way of working.

Eventually, ClickOnCare moved to Healthcare Segment with Cosmaceutical & Dermacare Products being our USP.

What inspired you to build the above product/ service?

In 2013, when ClickOnCare started off, we had the Healthcare Industry dominating the Online and Offline Markets; However, none of them catered to the kind of products being sold on ClickOnCare.

A Short survey showed us that these products had their Offline Penetration restricted to a few Outlets, e.g.: A product costing Rs. 5000/- would not be available across 98% of the Stores except a few located in up market locations of Cities. And here we had our B.Plan ready – Reach Out to every Soul across States, Cities, Towns and Villages to ensure basic access to Healthcare Products.

What is your life mantra?

Resolve Issues at Hand before moving forward.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

Starting off Alone was the biggest challenge followed by Management of Funds.

My Lack of Experience in the Industry and with limited resources at hand, everything had to be tested before major indulgence. Both took a toll on time.

How did you overcome those challenges?

I learnt things the hard way and now I ensure that all Major Indulgences into the company are purely backed by Research before a Call is taken on them.

Lack of Finances is a Issue which I share with Hundreds in the Industry but allotment of these funds in the right direction is what I now focus on.

Share some details about the investments that you have been able to fetch for the business till now.

I haven’t been able to attract Investments till date but that has not stopped us from growing. ClickOnCare is backed by funds from Col. Rakesh Malik, who happens to be my Father. This also does not stop him from Grilling me and my Accounts people.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of Brain Drain?

Its pretty simple out here.

Give them what they deserve and Treat them with more than they expect. Our Attrition Rate is less than 10% as of July 2015

According to you, what are the three qualities an individual must have to achieve success?

  • Realistic – Will Power
  • Un-Doubtful – Self Commitment
  • Controlled – Impulsiveness

Which online tools/ services/ apps do you use the most and would like to recommend as well?

We use loads of them. But, I personally have learnt a LOT, and literally a LOT from Google’s Free Tools during my initial days. I use them till date for any of my personal references to a issue at hand.

Share any one habit which you think makes you more productive.

I do not leave my desk until I am 100% Sure on all To Do’s for the day. Even if his gives me 2 hours of sleep, I assure myself a Sound & Peaceful 2 Hours.

Share any one habit which you wish to change in yourself.

Tell me about it :)
